Happy Thanksgiving!!

What a lot to be thankful for!! We are so blessed with family and friends and all that we could ever need! We spent Thanksgiving at Ben's parent's house with most of the siblings and cousins running around. It was so much fun! My mom came from California to join us. It's been great to have her around! She's really enjoyed being with Sam and Jared since she doesn't see them as much! Our Thanksgiving meal was DELICIOUS! Everyone did a portion of the meal which I think is the best idea because you can focus on making a couple quality dishes instead of 10 dishes using shortcuts to save time (esp. oven time). Here's a picture of the spread (which included turkey - regular and smoked, gravy, stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, rolls, green beans, veggie tray, jello cranberry salad molded into roses - go Amy!, and lots and lots of yummy pies, not pictured):

After overeating all the food, there were some games of football and badminton, including a football game between Sam and his cousin DJ:

After some naps, Sam and his aunt Carlie had a great time snuggling in the grass reading books during a badminton match:

While others took naps during the badminton match (Aunt Sheri with sleeping cousin Joseph):

Grandma from California also enjoyed making Jared laugh:

What a great day to remember all of our blessings and to spend with family and friends! Thanks everyone for the delicious food and wonderful company!

Thanks for posting these pictures. It was wonderful to see everyone enjoying each other. It almost seems strange to see Ben & others as the parents ...they were the little guys out there playing around. Now they are the parents & your kids are the little guys playing around. It brings back lots of memories. I love the picture of your mom and her new grandson! Verla
