New Friends and Playtime

So, despite my ramblings, we really are having fun here. I found that it helps to keep Sam busy and have some things available to get us out of the house. Our friends invited us to a little park with rides the other day. Sandy warned me it was like a "ghetto mini carnival" so I would know what to expect, but we were there for the social aspect anyway. I got some nice pictures....

Sam and his new friend, Ava, had a great time playing in the misters. They have taken to each other quite well and are hilarious together!

We also got the aforementioned membership to this indoor playground called Radijazz. Pretty fun...Sam especially loves the lava pit!

And Jared's crawling!! He started last Thursday, but in the characteristic Jared-style. He only goes as far as he needs to to get what he wants, even reaching as far as he can so he doesn't have to crawl any farther, and then he'll sit back down. Funny boy!

And we made a trip yesterday to get Sam his potty-training reward. Originally, we were working towards a scooter. But the moment he saw the bicycles with the training wheels (and with some preferential suggestions from Ben :), he decided he wanted the bike instead. He's so big riding it and we couldn't keep him from riding all around the store before we payed for it. It was so funny how excitied and exuberant he was and still is over his new bike. Our boy's growing up!
